H9 Films is a Massachusetts based motion picture production company firmly rooted in the local film community, solely dedicated to creating experiences that move people. Founded by writer and director John Stimpson, a native to Massachusetts, H9 Films has been integrally involved in over 20 feature films. John poured his passion and enthusiasm into the company and built a strong network of professionals that truly believe motion pictures are the ultimate collaborative creative medium.

H9 Films regards the arts to be vital in Massachusetts, and therefore is on the forefront of advocating for the local Film and Television Industry. John is a member of the Mass Production Coalition and on the board of FILMA (Film it Locally in MA) that actively promotes the Commonwealth’s Film Tax Incentive, which has resulted in the recent surge of local film and television production.
John Stimpson - Filmmaker
John writes, directs, produces and edits motion pictures. Integrally involved in the making of over twenty feature films, his movies play all over the world. He is also responsible for television programs airing on the Discovery Network, Animal Planet, Home & Garden TV and the Outdoor Life Network. The Legend of Lucy Keyes starring Julie Delpy and Justin Theroux, A Christmas Kiss with Elisabeth Rohm and Laura Breckenridge, The Wrong Car starring Danielle Savre and Francia Raisa, and Ghost Light with Roger Bart, Tom Riley, Cary Elwes and Shannyn Sossamon top his list of best known films.
A graduate of Harvard College, John earned his degree in Visual and Environmental Studies and was President of the Hasty Pudding Theatricals, the oldest theatrical organization in the country.
